A Shoreline institution. Fresh seafood done right. The fried onion strings are not to be missed! Have your seafood on a platter, in a roll or now, even in a taco. Your choice of blackened, broiled or fried. Also the usual hamburgers and hot dogs. A little pricey but what isn't these days! Highly recommended! Call first during off-season. Closed from mid to late fall to spring.
Love the whole clams here. They also have good tartar. Many places go cheap with pre packaged tartar but they make their own and it makes a difference
Don't avoid it because of the name! Fresh and tasty seafood here! I've had the fish tacos, clam strips and lobster roll. Decent portions. Other places are bigger, but the prices are too. The lobster roll had one of the best toasted rolls I've had. Clam chowder is supposedly voted #1 by someone... I will have to agree! Not too thick and it has bacon, it was delicious.
Great all season seafood shack/restaurant!! Indoor and outdoors!!! I'm very picky with seafood and I would come here over and over again! The portions are huge and the clam chowder and lobster bisque is to die for!!! The clam strips are simply amazing!! Only my first time, but definitely not my last! Worth a shot if your in the area!! Looks are definitely deceiving so don't pass this one up!!
Clam Castle finally got it right. After a dismal record from the last owner (place and the food was the pits). Donahue's has brought this place back from the dead. The whole belly clams are now the best in this shoreline area. I give them a 9 out of 10. Almost as good as the original owner back in the 70's, when the clams were fresh off the beach. Clam chowder was excellent too. Forget Lenny's & Joe's ... no comparison.
